Professor Kong Zhiguang enjoys teaching and his courses are popular among students. He has been teaching Fundamentals of Aesthetics, General Theory of Literature and Literature and Art Criticism for undergraduates and Monographic Study of Aesthetic Theory, Monographic Study of Literary Theory, Study of History of China Aesthetics, Study of History of Western Aesthetics, Aesthetic Study of Chinese Painting and Calligraphy and Study of China Aesthetic Culture (This course includes primitive mythology, prehistoric rock painting, ancient pottery and porcelain, ancient jade article, bronze ware before Qing Dynasty, Han Dynasty’s painting) for graduates. He has checked many theses for Master’s degree or Doctorate and been the evaluation committee member. He has been in charge of the higher education’s examination of Fundamentals of Aesthetics and General Theory of Literature for self-taught students. During the period between 1998 and 1999, as a visiting professor of Korean Changyuan University, he applied many vivid and effective ways to the teaching such as picture teaching, material object teaching, dialogue teaching, participation teaching, practice teaching and so on. He taught many courses such as Intermediate Chinese, Advanced Chinese, Chinese of Current Affairs and Quotations of Chinese Ancient Philosophers for undergraduates and made speeches on special topics such as Aesthetics of Confucius, Aesthetics of Changes Scripture and Aesthetic Study of China Painting and Calligraphy for doctors and young teachers. His work was highly appreciated by the teachers and students of Changyuan University.
